No question this time, just some "subscriber feedback" and my own POTD.
Tried to apply what I have learned today which led to me changing playing pots like QQ5r OOP in a way that as MP vs BU - I c-bet range because I have got all the offsuit Qx that IP does not have, but on the turn now I bet around 1/2 instead of pot or overbet because, as we learned, when I bet to big without the blocker I get called to less when I have trips and to often when I bluff.
I also missapplied the same concept today in a way that on JJ6r6s (low flush river) - MP vs CO or so - I c-bet again range w ATbdfd this time, but I did call turn overbet, because I thought "IP is a good opponent and he knows that I am capped and he tries to get me off my weak hand" but he actually had J9s, LOL. I forget to put the exploit into consideration that people bluff to less!
This was my POTD - luckily I was really satisfied with how the rest of the day went.
Even tho I punted, this experience now implemented the concept from a theoretical and exploitative standpoint in my head and I am now sure that I play this spots in and out of position much better than my opponents! Thanks to you, Sam!
you explained the logic for raising K2cc on the turn well.
How should one recognize other nearly 0% equity hands that still continue vs turn donk?
I intuitively would have thought that near zero equity hands can't continue turn after BB's range got stronger through calling c-bet and getting a favorable turn card.
I also wondered why A98 gets more checks than A76 on the flop. Is it, because it is less dynamic (1 less overcard that can come) and BB has more 99,88 as BB when playing that deep?
There are some low equity hands that have enough showdown that they need to mix turn continues such as KQ high.
I think this is a pretty specific spot where the lesson is, if you havea 4/3/2 in your hand you should be raising to represent trips with some frequency.
A98 checks the flop more often because with range it prefers to bet big. So it's actually putting more money in the pot than on A76 it just uses a larger size. Why does A98 bet big when A76 doesn't? I think it's just because the button has more range vs range equity because it has more second/third pair hands (and less unpaired total air). The BB doesn't have as many sets on A98. The button has more straight draws on A98, a variety of different reasons that add up to a lot.
The other thing is K9 and Q9 are the most common nines that raise because they are the strongest nines so we like matching our bluffs with our value and then also having a card that doesn't interact with anything like a 4/3/2
Muchas gracias
Nice to know that other elite pros are subscribers!

I guess also Kc is especially good because it blocks more of the offsuit 9x combinations, so I guess that's a factor when finding those "wild bluffs"

I have been looking at sims with a larger preflop open size on the button and I think that is why we are seeing different solutions
