POTD #30 Final Table Friday: Triton Montenegro 2019 NLHE Main Event €110K. Part 2
My adventures in Montenegro continue
In today’s newsletter, we continue our Final Table Friday journey through my final table of the Triton Montenegro NLHE Main Event. Usually the hands that I blog about are hands that I remember playing. Sometimes, I choose them for this blog because I’ve spent nights tossing and turning about how I played them. Other times, I read a hand history and the memory of playing a hand comes rushing back to me. Today’s hand is the first punt that I simply do not remember playing. It was 6 years ago, sure, but I remember hands older than that. This was at a big final table with a lot of money up top; you’d think I would remember every notable hand I played, but I don’t. As I rewatched this FT, I was shocked at how poor the quality of my and others’ play was (more hands will be analyzed in the Discord for Premium subscribers). In 2019, I thought quite highly of my game. In 2025, I think my 2019 game stinks. It goes to show, no matter how sharp you are or were, you’re always a few years away from being dull as a butter knife.
