OMG, you're a sicko. But it was your first cash, so of course it will stick in your memory. I don't remember you as a 19-year-old kid! How did you bust?
I have no idea. The only hands I remember was that at some point with like 16 left or so I had the nut flush and shoved the river vs Seidel and I was so excited to get all his money and he folded.
Then I also knew Gavin was crazy and I tried to check-raise stack off top pair in a spot that was likely very bad and he also folded.
OMG, your bustout hand is one of the biggest regrets of my career. Found this online somewhere (I did have AJ, btw.) “Matt Matros raised from late position to 75,000, and Greenwood moved all in from the cutoff for his last 253,000. Then, Glen Witmer cold called from the big blind. Matros looked unsure, but decided to make the call for three way action. The flop came AQ7 and Witmer immediately moved all-in. Matros pondered the decision, talking aloud, convincing himself that the best he can do is tie Witmer. Matros then folded, claiming to have ace-jack. Witmer showed pocket nines, while Greenwood only had fives. The nines held up and Greenwood was eliminated in 8th place.”
This does sound vaguely familar now. I think I was so disappointed by the amount of action and the flop that I had forgotten all the details. Could you link me to the live reporting? Maybe I have a hand for POTD.
